Sannoubou Remains (the Shinto shrine ‘Hie Jinja)

The Shinto shrine ‘Hie Jinja' is located in upper reaches of the stream Sannoubouzawa. This shrine is dedicated to the medieval monarch Andou. This shrine is surrounded by big cedar trees, thus tree's shade is making its premise dark during daytime. It's atmosphere is like ‘Kokedera' ( Buddhism temple which has the ground covered wholly by moss). You can see old cornerstone which was excavated when the temple was investigated.
