Shiura history and folklore museum

This museum is in the Nakanoshima Island Bridge Park . It exhibits the diorama of Shiura district, ancient remains excavated in Jusan district, and models of ancient trading large ships. These remind us of huge trading city ‘Tosaminato' which had been prospering prominently in middle age. This city had acted as center of trading to foreign countries.

In this museum, there are old books and old maps. Thus visitors will be able to imagine ancient trading activity in Japan Sea.
