The oldest apple trees in Japan

There are three apple trees which were planted in 1878 in Kashiwa district. These are the natural heritage of Aomori prefecture. One is the specie ‘Benishime' and two are ‘Iwai'. These heights are 7m and with a trunk 3 meters diameter. These apple trees have been producing apples every autumn. And these apples are sold.
