Shinto temple ‘Takayamainari Jinja’

 

 

‘ Takayamainari Jinja' is the biggest Shinto temple of Tsugaru.

 

It exists in the hill in where you can view Mt. Iwaki to south, Japan Sea to west, Jusan Lake and Hokkaido to north. Origin of this temple is unclear, but it is supposed that ancient tribe ‘Emishi' established it before 12th century.

 

This temple grants pray of people about production of crop, fisherman and merchant's profitable, no disaster on family, healthy, and so on. A thousand of ‘Torii' (the gateway to Shinto shrine) is worth seeing.
